Custom Orthoses

Support to Keep Moving! We manufacture and fit custom orthoses, also known as braces or splints, to help you achieve optimal function and empower you to live more actively and independently.

Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFO)

Also known as a lower leg orthosis, the AFO is used to treat drop foot, knee instability and lower limb weakness.  As well as supporting the limb, specific ankle joints can assume the functions your ankle or foot can no longer perform.  AFOs are used to treat a variety of neuropathic, orthopaedic and congenital conditions and can be customised to your condition, lifestyle and budget with options in materials and joint systems.

Custom orthotic solutions support those with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, diabetic foot conditions, polio, muscular dystrophy and more.

Knee Ankle Foot Orthoses (KAFO)

The KAFO extends over the knee to secure both knee and ankle joints and assist in supporting the lower limb while standing and walking.  They are usually used for muscle weakness or paralysis of the whole limb, that may result from conditions such as polio, muscular dystrophy or multiple sclerosis.

We use different materials and joint technology to customise every KAFO to the individual.  We liaise with your physiotherapist or rehabilitation specialist and conduct a detailed examination and assessment to find the right solution for you.

Orthoses assist with acute injuries, fracture management, muscle weakness, paralysis and spinal injuries.

Tailor made orthotic solutions

We also design, manufacture and fit custom orthoses for upper limbs and other parts of the body. Talk to us about your specific needs or ask your treating doctor, podiatrist or physiotherapist to get in touch.

We work closely with physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists and other clinicians on your rehabilitation team, enabling us to design, manufacture and fit orthotic solutions tailored to your recovery program and lifestyle.

Custom bracing solutions can support those with cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, diabetic foot conditions and many neuromuscular disorders.
