Peter is a familiar face around the office having been a part in the company in some sort of role since 2011 and is integral in making sure everything here at Northern Prosthetics runs smoothly. We asked him a few rapid-fire questions so you can find out a little more about our (grass-hopper hating) General Manager!
What is your role at NP & how did you end up here? I have known Peter Farrand for over 40 years and when he started Northern Prosthetics in 2011 he asked me if I would work for him part time looking after his Administration. I obviously said yes and have been with NP as it grew over the years before coming on board full time as General Manager in 2018.
What is your favourite part about working in the P&O field? Meeting amazing people who have had to deal with a difficult situation, but who show great strength. So many of them just get on with it and it makes you realise that a lot of other problems in life are so minor.
What are your specialties or favourite tasks? A lot of things that I should be delegating… 😊 (we all agree! There is no truer sentence).
What are your hobbies outside of work? Spending time with my family, surfing, travelling & being outdoors.
If your life was a movie, who would you choose to play you? It would definitely need to be someone with a great sense of humour and similar looks to me… The Rock! Dwayne Johnson!
And finally, what is a fun fact about you? I hate Grasshoppers.
